Welcome to Aerie Obliviana. Lots of highly strange and enjoyable reading awaits you in the Cups of Aerie! Even though navigating through Aerie Obliviana is somewhat self-explanatory, I want to go over some of the details.

[1] Aerie Obliviana is presented online, on the Obliviana Super Occult Amusement website, at www.obliviana.com.

[2] Aerie Obliviana is composed purely of text--no graphics. The color scheme is consistent throughout--dark blue background, light yellow type, and light blue links.

[3] All links in Aerie Obliviana are light blue text. The underlines have been turned off on purpose, for a more appealing look. As well, there is no "visited link" color, and this is also on purpose, to avoid adding another color to the color scheme.

[4] Each page in Aerie Obliviana is called a "Cup". This is because it contains content, just as a cup contains liquid.

[5] Every Cup in Aerie Obliviana is identified by a code. The code is based on the organization structure within Aerie Obliviana.

[6] The first level of organization in Aerie Obliviana is the "Revolver". Revolvers are basic subject in Obliviana. Each Revolver is identified by a code consisting of two capital letter.

[7] The second level of organization is the "Subrevolver", which is a basic subject within the Revolver. These are identified by a code consisting of two lowercase letters.

[8] The third level of is the "Feature", which is identified by a three-digit number.

[9] This Cup, for example, is "AGar002". AG refers to the Revolver "Aerie Obliviana Guide". "ar" refers to the Subrevolver, which is "Articles". And the "002" refers to the fact that this is the second feature in the Subrevolver "Articles".

[10] In addition, some Cups will use a single lowercase letter to further subdivide a Feature Cup. An example of this is "OWga001c". This is Revolver "OsoaWeek", Subrevolver "Get All Obliviana", Feature 1, Part 3.

[11] Each Revolver and Subrevolver has a "home Cup" which lists its content. The home Cup for Revolver "Aerie Obliviana Guide" has the code "AG". The home Cup for "Articles" has the code "AGar".

[12] Every Cup has a set of links which take you back "up the hierarchy". For example, this Cup has links to both "AG" and "AGar". Some Cups, such as the OsoaWeek Cups (such as "OWis001") have an extra link, because they are organized in two different ways--Issues and Books.

[13] In every home Cup, there is a set of "quick links" right under the "divider", which is a set of 31 equal signs. So, in all home Cups, all of the Cups linked from and linked to are listed right at the top.

[14] Aerie Obliviana is released in "Versions". Once a version is released, it is "set in stone", and not altered in any way until a new version is released. The alternative--piecemeal updates--is something that I have found, by experience, to be confusing both for me as the author and for the readers.

[15] "OsoaWeek" is the weekly ezine of Obliviana Super Occult Amusement. Because it is released every week, the issues that are in current release must exist "outside" of Aerie Obliviana. So, I have a separate place for them on the Obliviana Super Occult Amusement Website. These issues have a different color scheme (white type on dark red, with orange links) to help differentiate them from Aerie Obliviana content. As well, pages containing current issues of OsoaWeek have a graphic at the top of the page. When a new version of Aerie Obliviana is released, the current issues are archived into the OsoaWeek Revolver in Aerie Obliviana.

[16] Besides the current issues of OsoaWeek, I plan on having other Obliviana content on the Obliviana Super Occult Amusement website. It is important to understand that Aerie Obliviana is a self-contained thing unto itself. It is not interlinked with other content on the Obliviana Super Occult Amusement Website.

[17] The only Cup in Aerie Obliviana with any links "outside" is Cup "AO"--the home Cup for all of Aerie Obliviana. This has a link to the main index page of the Obliviana Super Occult Amusement. All other links go to other Cups within Aerie Obliviana.

[18] At the top of every Cup, there is the title "Aerie Obliviana", which in all cases is a link back to Cup "AO", except in Cup "AO" itself, in which it is a link to the main index page of the Obliviana Super Occult Amusement Website.

[19] These release notes are meant to clarify the organizational system of Aerie Obliviana. As I stated above, the structure of Aerie Obliviana is pretty much self-explanatory. You don't have to understand all of this technical stuff to enjoy Aerie Obliviana. So go ahead and start (or continue, as the case may be) enjoying the wonders of Aerie Obliviana!
