Welcome to Aerie Obliviana Version Two. I'm Frank Edward Nora, Lord of Obliviana, and I'm gonna tellya what's up with Aerie!

The date if this release, June 7, is very significant in Obliviana history. Way back on June 7, 1986, I started Halfevil Graphics, my mini-comics publishing "company". That was the start of my publishing efforts, and in 13 years I have gotten here, to Aerie Obliviana v2.

Three years ago, on June 7, 1996, I met my wife-to-be, Denice. We got married on November 15, 1997.

In v2, the major addition is Severe Repair, my science fiction epic. It's a work in progress, but it's already around a thousand printed pages worth of writing.

Severe Repair has been around for a long time, and it's been online before, but it's much better than it's ever been, in the Aerie format.

One addition to Severe Repair that adds a great deal to it is "The Great Quasi-Random Alphhabetical Severe Repair Cupline List". With this set of links, you can jump right into Severe Repair randomly, which is, I believe, the best way start experiencing Severe Repair.

Originally, I had intended to include Zope in v2 as well, but since Severe Repair was so much work, I had to hold off on Zope till the next release.

I took out a line ad in the July 1999 issue of Wired Magazine, and it should be out pretty soon. I hope that this ad will attract an audience to Obliviana. Unfortunately, Aerie v1 did not have any audience at all, beyond a few people that I know.

In order to get people right into Aerie, I put the Severe Repair Cupline List on the main page of my website, as well as in the main page of Severe Repair inside Aerie. Being a web surfer myself, I realize that a site has to grab your attention right away, or else you'll just give up and move on. Hopefully with this new setup, folks will be able to get right into Aerie!

Another addition to Aerie is the use of some red type on the main page. I found myself getting a little confused when I returned to the main Cup (Cup AO), since it had the same look as all the other pages. Adding the red type does indeed distinguish Cup AO from all the others.

There is an addition to the OsoaWeek Archive--OsoaWeek208. I missed it the first time around, but now it's in there. It's the longest OsoaWeek ever, with writing from 3/17/98 to 7/25/98.

On the Obliviana website, I added all the Obliviana Trading Cards, including the brand new Series 3, with 64 photos of me! As well, I brought back Obliviana School and the Storm Pelters, both of which had been part of the previous incarnation of the Obliviana Website.

Many of the issues of OsoaWeek refer to Obliviana as a game system. In the past few weeks, I've been working very hard on this aspect of Obliviana. Hopefully, I'll add some of this to Aerie v3, which should be out this Summer sometime.

But right now, Severe Repair is the part of Obliviana that I'm hoping will attract some attention. Right now, Obliviana has no audience at all. But who knows--maybe when Aerie v3 comes out, it'll have a few tens of fans!

Well, that's it. So go ahead and wandertain thyself in the myriad Cups and Cuplines of Aerie Obliviana!
