4/12/97 * 3:25 PM

Okay. See the date I just typed in? Okay, Now, the date of this issue of OsoaWeek is October 26, 1996. Five-and-a-half months ago.

OsoaWeek is drifting. I will be rectifying the situation in two weeks, with the dawn of Book Twelve, which will be a part of the new Obliviana Primal system.

I have a lot of Lord of Obliviana writing, but I don't want to play games and segment it in these long past issues. So I'll put all of my new writing in the last issue of Book Eleven, OW143.

This will be the last LA till then.

Get all Obliviana.

***ZOPE ALMANAC***

4/12/97

As you know, OsoaWeek is in utter disarray, but a big change is coming in two weeks, with the dawn of Book Twelve.

I completed Book Nine a little over a month ago, and I produced 13 text-based Zope episodes, which is a lot, considering that up to issue 105, I had only produced 31.

I will soon start doing Yargo-based, drawn Zope episodes. And I will probably draw many of the text-based episodes in this new format. I see Yargo as the main format for Zope going into the future. So these 44 text episodes will probably be the extent of the text-based Zopes.

The "space madness" episodes of Zope, 35 thru 43, are quite remarkable, in that Zope comes to a higher level of self-awareness and stuff. And the part where I talk to him was truly unplanned--it just happened that way.

I think Zope has a very bright future as a part of Obliviana Primal. It's been an interesting 11 years so far with Zope. Hopefully, in another 11 years, Zope WILL be as popular as Snoopy, as he wonders in my conversation with him in one of the aforementioned space episodes.

Oh well. Here's the reference:

[[04118SA]] Severe Repair Almanac

First of all, "SR69" is the code name for the raw text of the 69 chapters of SR presented in OsoaWeek. I will not reprint the reference for that here. You can see it in OW105.

In Book Nine, I introduced the new "Hypercup" format for SR. This is the way I will be presenting SR in Obliviana Primal, with a few modifications to the codes and headers of the "Packets".

Nypercup?

Severe Repair will continue in Obliviana Primal on the WWW.

Anyway, here's a reference for the Hypercup SR stuff on Book Nine:

More. Lip. Liken me or her to variable here. Having a bad time in high school is such a cliche, but I had to fucking live through it. The developing theme, and I'm talking about something real and current here, it is the recreation of my idealized remembrance of college. At Drew University, there was something... sometimes palpable... supernatural and sexual... mythical and technological... mischievous and brilliant... unfettered young minds getting a glimpse of Wonder... all about dreams of power, dreams of utopias... with computers and magic as tools... seeking the dream behind the drab... well I want to recreate it, digitally on the Internet... I need to be in the right place in order to make Obliviana work... that place does not exist anymore, I can construct the place. Got this idea in the rain in Manhattan less than two hours ago. Sharp focus on something that's always been with me blurry.

SUPERIOR 626 * 11/8/96
Palhubot, said getting up, just nonsense, and it is. I want to be in control of something powerful, as does everyone. I'm not aiming for another being all computery, and that is it, your computational life. Haha, in banter with Carmine this afternoon I said "you compute like a girl". It referred to his complaining about the messy state of my hard drive, which I said suited me just fine.

SUPERIOR 627 * 11/8/96
Lbits, fuirl dummkipo. Doom, used to be the beginning of the end, not a genre of bad videogames. Lots of f's. As in fffffffffffffffffff. Indulgent. Self-referential. Tiresome. Unusable. Nonsense for no sake. Nonsense without a cause. To caw is for a crow to speak, it caws. Caw, paw, cat's paw, cat versus crow, cat's gonna win. Like.

SUPERIOR 628 * 11/8/96
Metallica's Black Album going through my head all day, what can I say, remember a cigar store in the Brunswick Square Mall over a year ago, like the fake plants in the hallway that leads to the bathroom there, something there. Hate the smell of meat at the vendor as I exit the subway for work. High school class trips, playing Discs of Tron at a place on Rt. 209 in Pennsylvania... Fernwood? Had to share a bed with a fucking weirdo loser, cuz I was too. I think the year before they put hand lotion in his bed in our cabin at Stokes State Forest or something, and said he had a wet dream or masturbated or something and someone said "there's no way he can deny it".
