I am Frank Edward Nora, Lord of Obliviana, and I'd like to welcome you to the 209th issue of OsoaWeek, which marks the official Launch of Obliviana! OsoaWeek is the weekly ezine of Obliviana. Obliviana Super Occult Amusement (OSOA) is the company which runs the game of Obliviana, which officially starts TODAY! The first issue of OsoaWeek came out on July 28, 1994--exactly four years ago. In that issue, I tried to start the game of Obliviana, but my ideas were not really "there" yet, and Obliviana didn't get off the ground. Now, four years later, my ideas have matured, and I think the game of Obliviana is finally ready to become a reality! OsoaWeek has changed a lot since it began, and with this issue, OsoaWeek is changing a great deal. When OsoaWeek began, it was the sole medium for Obliviana--I didn't start the website till a year later. Now, almost all of the actual content of Obliviana resides on the Obliviana website. OsoaWeek is now going to contain basic news about Obliviana, plus a few features exclusive to OsoaWeek which will not be available on the website. So, when you get OsoaWeek in your E-mail, be sure to save it to your hard drive! Only people who have established their Fonosta will receive OsoaWeek. This past week, 10 Fonostas were established. The game of Obliviana is in its infancy. In the coming weeks, Obliviana will get more game elements. If you're totally confused by Obliviana, don't worry. I had to get to Toys'R'Us before it closed. CARNE: Thanks, that's really helpful. PACER: Hey man! I had to get the Insaniac action figure from Small Soldiers! CARNE: How was that movie, by the way? PACER: It's kind of horrible, but in such a way that it could become a cult classic. I liked it, but I can't really recommend it. It reminded me a little of Last Action Hero. You know how the kid in that movie was so friggin' annoying? This kid is even worse.
