LORD OF OBLIVIANA
-----------

11/29/98 now. On 11/24, Tuesday, the day this issue was supposed to come out, I stayed real late at work getting a job done. I took Wednesday off, and recorded with my sister-in-law Carrie. Later, we all went to see Tori Amos at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Thurdsay was Thanksgiving and I went to see my family. Friday I went to a wedding, and my wife was in the wedding party. Friday morning I went to Toys'R'Us at about 7:30 AM, and it was a total mob scene. I stopped by Circuit City and ripped on DIVX. Then I went to the Willowbrook Mall, and there was a line five to ten stores long to get into Kay-Bee Toys--I later heard a rumor that they got a shipment of Furbies. Yesterday, Saturday, I went to see the 1:3- PM showing of "A Big's Life". I was very disappointed. Then I drove around and went to a bunch of stores and stuff. Last night I stayed up to about 6:30 AM playing Spades with my wife, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law. Today, me and my wife were playing Pokemon a lot. And now, finally, I am getting to OsoaWeek!

Wow. 226 weeks since I started OsoaWeek, back on July 28, 1994. If I knew then that I'd be here now, back to square one, I would probably have given up. But maybe not... if I knew that it would be such a fantastically BETTER square one.

1998 is drawing to a close. As you may know, I have always disliked 1998 numerologically, since it equals 666x3. Now, it looks like the timing is right to get the new Obliviana going in 1999. In fact, I'd like to get it started on New Year's Day, if possible. This would mirror my experience on 6/6/86 and 6/7/86. On 6/6/86, a date I associate with 666 (1+9+8+6=24, 2+4=6), I tried to go to my father's office to print "Big New Ark", an event that would officially begin Halfevil Graphics. But my car broke down, and I had to wait till the next day, 6/7/86.

So, here in 1998 I tried to get Obliviana going, but it "broke down". 1/1/99 is in 33 days. So this is my new plan--to open the new website on 1/1/99!

Get all Obliviana.

CARNE'S MOISTURE DETECTION FRIEND
Episode Eighteen
-----------

CARNE: Wow, Pacer's not here. That's weird. I knew he was planning on trading Wacky Packs with my Moisture Detection Friend, but it's one of those stupid science fiction holidays today, like "Square Root of Pi Day" or something. I thought he'd be celebrating it. Maybe I should check out some depressing malls, being that it's a weekday afternoon. Or I could go to a gardening store and think about monorails. Yeah... that's a good plan...
