Welcome to the Bluffcosm Laser Hinterland. Here, you'll find all the Blufftoons that, for whatever reason, are not available either on Bluffcosm.com Radio or the Bluffcosm.com MP3.com page. The Blufftoons are in MP3 format, and are the lo-fi 24-kbps versions (as heard on Bluffcosm.com Radio) due to space limitations. In the future, the hi-fi 128 kbps versions of these will be available.
For Joey (Full Version) Blufftoon 31 (11:17) Recorded 1987 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/2/00) "For Joey" is a video I did in college in 1987. In "For Joey" (Blufftoon 21, available on MP3.com), I cut out the first five minutes because it didn't work very well in audio. So here, I am presenting the full version, which is cool, but not as immediately entertaining as the edited one. The Flint Orwell Program (Radio Only) Blufftoon 32 (7:25) Recorded 4/8/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/2/00) In "Beublin 9: The Flint Orwell Program" (Blufftoon 16, available on MP3.com), Beublin is listening to and commenting on a radio "broadcast". This is the full audio of that "broadcast", including stuff at the end that's available here only. Bluffcosm Alpha Intro Blufftoon 1 (3:00) Recorded 3/24/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/6/00) This is the very FIRST Blufftoon! I did it in the car driving over to 7-11. It introduces the "alpha" version of Bluffcosm.com Radio. Once I expanded the Radio program, this intro was "retired". But it's available again, here in Laser Hinterland! Birthday 1977 (Full Version) Blufftoon 43 (8:29) Recorded 10/2/77 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/14/00) On my tenth birthday, I got a tape recorder. This is full version of the tape I recorded that day. Blufftoon 39, "Birthday 1977" is an edited version. Actually, this version is edited a little too--on the tape, I recorded some haunted house sound effects from a record, which I decided to take out for this release. My party was on October 2, but my birthday is October 3. My sister's birthday is October 1, and 10/2/77 was a Sunday, so that's why the party was that day... Pen Buying Blufftoon 44 (1:34) Recorded 4/29/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/14/00) While recording Blufftoon 36, "Beublin 13: The Royal Mall", Pete was buying a pen as a present for his friend, and I recorded the pen buying process, as well as us ripping on the salesman afterwards... Bluffcosm Banter #1 Blufftoon 45 (5:28) Recorded 4/29/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/14/00) Here's an impromptu bit on Bluffcosm.com promotion. It's meant to be heard on Bluffcosm.com Radio. It's Frank and Pete driving to the swamp to record Blufftoon 34, "Beublin 11: Buck Lanters" and Blufftoon 35, "Beublin 12: Balconies". Bluffcosm Banter #2 Blufftoon 46 (0:34) Recorded 4/29/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/14/00) Another Bluffcosm.com promo, recorded after the Beublin recording in the swamp, but BEFORE the Beublin recording in the mall... It's Frank and Pete at a wedding in the swamp. All About Zope Blufftoon 47 (3:59) Recorded 1987? (added to Laser Hinterland 5/14/00) This recording is from video footage that I was gonna include in a video I made called "Early Echoes Fusing", which is a collection on my video works, which I completed in 1987 or 1988. This Zope documentary didn't make it into the final piece, just the animated "Zope's Animated South American Mishap". The music heard behind me talking is from that animated segment. Train Crap & Blood 9.5: Cotton Candy Blufftoon 48 (16:53) Recorded 4/8/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 5/14/00) After recording Blufftoon 16, "Beublin 9: The Flint Orwell Program", Frank, Pete, and John recorded this impromptu "half" episode of Train Crap & Blood. Blufftoon 42, "Pebbles", is excerpted from here. Bluffcosm Banter #3 Blufftoon 54 (1:48) Recorded 7/9/00 (added to Laser Hinterland 7/24/00 (August 2000 Blufftoon Wave)) Me and Pete recorded this in Rocky Top Park, and then we went on to record "Bluffcosm Promo Insane" and Beublins 14-17. Peggy's Playroom Blufftoon 75 (4:16) One kid's parody of a kid show... This one was rejected by MP3.com for possible copyright problems, so that's why it's here!
