Well, as you can see I've fallen behind again with OsoaWeek. Obliviana is full of ups and downs for me, and right now is a down.

About a month ago, I finished up Aerie Obliviana Version 2. My ad in Wired Magazine came out a few days later. And I applied to Yahoo to list Severe Repair as "web-published science fiction" (Yahoo accepted the listed a week or two later).

It wasn't till about a week ago that the hits on the Obliviana website started to increase a little. It went from about 1 hit per day to about 10. 10 hits a day might seem pretty bad, but it's excellent for me. Excellent, that is, in comparison with my past performance.

At the time I finished Aerie v2, I did not yet have a concrete plan for v3. And I still don't. See, last week, Obliviana entered a new phase--the Archive phase. I am now endeavoring to backup all Obliviana data on CD-Rs. Right now, Obliviana data is scattered all around my apartment. And my goal is to get it all together.

So, this means that I'm not going to be able to do a lot of work directly on Aerie or the website for the next few months. But the Archive project WILL turn up a lot of "lost" Obliviana material, so it should prove to be a boost to Obliviana.

The timeframe for the Archive project is two months. I hope to have it done by early September. I'll keep on doing OsoaWeek, but that's about it as far as the website goes.

So that's what's happening. Get all Obliviana.
